Job summary

CVS Health in the United States offers a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern program within our retail pharmacies. You will apply didactic learning in real-world practice, support pharmacy operations, and learn under a licensed pharmacist to prepare for a Pharmacist role.

Responsibilities include following SOPs, assisting with prescriptions, counseling patients, immunization support where allowed, and contributing to a safe, inclusive patient experience while developing clinical and technical knowledge

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Regular attendance, including nights and weekends, and able to complete required training.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Assist pharmacy team to ensure patient safety and empathetic, high‑quality service at pickup, drive‑thru and phone.
• Counsel patients when appropriate under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify with prescribers when allowed by state regulations.
