Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning to real-world practice under a preceptor. You will follow a comprehensive training roadmap across store, district, and regional operations, supporting the pharmacy team to ensure safe, accurate, and timely prescription fulfillment.

You will also gain hands-on experience in immunizations, patient counseling, and adherence to SOPs while developing leadership and clinical skills for a future Pharmacist role.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to assist Pharmacists and Technicians in patient health management.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Provide empathetic patient service and assist with immunizations and services as applicable by state law.
• Counsel patients and obtain medical history information for optimal care when supervised by a licensed pharmacist.
• Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify prescriptions when allowed by state regulation.
• Train and mentor pharmacy team members and support store leadership.
