Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacy teams in a retail setting. You will apply didactic learning from school to real-world practice under a preceptor, helping ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and patient-centred service.

You will gain hands-on experience through a structured training roadmap, with exposure to store, district, and regional operations, while developing skills for advancement to pharmacist roles.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to assist Pharmacists and Technicians
• Fill prescriptions accurately and assist with immunizations and services over the phone
• Counsel patients and collect medical history when appropriate
• Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify with prescribers
• Assist with inventory and returns-to-stocks
• Provide care with empathy and maintain patient privacy and safety
