Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network in the Lehigh Valley seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescriptions. You will monitor inventory, place orders to restock, and support pharmacy operations in a fast-paced setting at Muhlenberg.

You will develop strong relationships with colleagues, check medications, and help with orientation and training of new pharmacy staff while ensuring accurate labeling and timely dispensing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; active enrollment in a pre-pharmacy or pharmacy degree program.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription orders.
• Adheres to all pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Fills medication orders accurately and efficiently.
• Ensures medications are properly labeled, checked by a pharmacist, and dispensed timely.
• Prioritizes workload, maintains organization, and coordinates with team members.
• Monitors expiration dates and ensures no expired medications are in circulation.
