Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in processing prescriptions and managing medication inventory. You will assist with labeling, compounding, and ensuring accurate dispensing while maintaining strong teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include preparing and dispensing orders, adhering to policies, and coordinating with team members to maintain stock levels and patient safety.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED and active enrollment in a pre-pharmacy or a pharmacy degree program at an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good math skills needed for counting, measuring and weighing medications.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assists pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription orders.
  • Adheres to all pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Fills medication orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Assures all medications are properly labeled, checked by a pharmacist, and dispensed in a timely manner.
  • Prioritizes workload, maintains organization, and coordinates activities with other team members.
  • Monitors medication expiration dates and ensures no expired medications are in circulation.
