JobRx, Inc. is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to assist in preparing and dispensing prescriptions. The role involves working alongside pharmacists, ensuring accurate medication distribution, and maintaining inventory levels. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and be enrolled in a pharmacy program.
This is an onsite position with a variable schedule including weekends and holidays. Strong attention to detail and good math skills are essential for success in this role.
Uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information to process prescriptions. Assists pharmacists in performing technical duties related to the distribution of drugs to patients. Monitors medication inventory levels and places orders to restock. Develops strong relationships with colleagues and customers. Supports pharmacological services by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, placing and expediting orders, reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, calculating quantities, compounding sterile and non‑sterile products, and other pharmaceutical therapies.
Lift and carry 25 lbs. Frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
