Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support the pharmacist and pharmacy team in delivering excellent patient care and efficient prescription processing. Under pharmacist supervision, you will learn to enter, third party process, fill, and dispense prescriptions while maintaining compliance with state and company policies.

You will engage customers, develop relationships, and contribute to a friendly, accurate patient experience.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a School of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Models and shares customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive experience.
• Learn from store and pharmacy team members under pharmacist supervision and follow SOPs for prescriptions.
• Assist pharmacists in delivering patient care within state scope of practice, including counseling and health services.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to policies for dispensing quality.
