Job summary

CVS Health is offering a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern role at our retail stores in Ohio. You will apply didactic learning, work under a pharmacist preceptor, and participate in a structured training roadmap to prepare for a Pharmacist role.

Expect hands-on experience in dispensing, patient interaction, and store operations. You will grow through KLEs, SOP adherence, and collaboration with pharmacy teams while learning to deliver safe, compassionate patient care and support immunizations and other

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to support Pharmacists and Technicians.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Provide empathetic patient service and assist with immunizations and other services.
• Counsel patients and obtain medical history when appropriate under supervision.
• Receive telephonic prescriptions and clarify prescriptions as allowed by state regulations.
• Coach and mentor pharmacy team members; support training.
• Perform basic inventory activities and organize stock as directed.
• Contribute to a high-performing team and be flexible for scheduling or market store shifts.
• Comply with all laws, regulations, and CVS policies to ensure patient safety and privacy.
• Deliver additional health care services (immunizations, point-of-care testing) when trained.
