HTU in Carrollton, Texas is seeking a licensed pharmacist to provide pharmacy consulting on medication usage, interactions, and preventive care including immunizations. Responsibilities

  • Provide pharmacy consulting on medication usage and interactions.
  • Ensure proper compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications within regulatory guidelines and company policies.
  • Greet customers and assist with products and services, resolving issues promptly to ensure positive experiences.
  • Share customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive customer experience.
  • Develop relationships with customers by anticipating needs and promoting healthcare services like patient consultation and medication management.
  • Counsel patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and referring to medical providers as needed.
  • Perform pharmacy tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
  • Ensure pharmacy operations comply with regulations and company standards; assist workflow optimization and staff coordination.
  • Maintaining compliance with Good Faith Dispensing policy and controlled substance laws.
  • Using pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus and StoreNET to support customers and staff; proposing system enhancements.
  • Processing insurance claims accurately and following up with insurers and medical providers.
  • Performing retail, clinical, and wellness services including immunizations and diabetes awareness.
  • Supporting pharmacy manager in analyzing performance data and reviewing KPIs with management.
  • Building relationships with local healthcare providers and participating in community outreach.
  • Partnering with Central Pharmacy Operations for customer registration and issue resolution; conducting virtual product reviews as needed.
  • Assisting pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, coaching, and fostering teamwork.

Education

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D)

About You

The company is looking for candidates who have:

  • Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before starting the position.
  • Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
  • Certification as an immunizer or willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: $33.50/hr to $45.30/hr, depending on geography, skills, education, and experience.
