Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide pharmacy consulting on medication usage, interactions, and preventive care such as immunizations.
  • Ensure proper compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications within guidelines and policies.
  • Engage customers by greeting and assisting with products and services; resolve issues.
  • Model customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive experience.
  • Develop relationships with customers by anticipating needs and promoting healthcare services.
  • Counsel patients on medicine usage, side effects, and refer to providers as needed.

  • Apply Good Faith Dispensing policy per laws when filling prescriptions.
  • Maintain knowledge of pharmacy IT systems and propose productivity enhancements.
  • Process insurance claims accurately and participate in third-party audits.
  • Follow up with medical providers to clarify prescriptions and suggest alternatives.
  • Provide immunizations, flu shots, and wellness services.
  • Support manager with performance analysis, financials, and asset protection.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing pharmacy consulting services on medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare such as immunizations.
  • Ensuring proper compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications within regulatory guidelines and company policies.
  • Engaging customers by greeting and assisting with products and services, resolving issues promptly to ensure positive experiences.
  • Modeling and sharing customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Developing strong relationships with customers by anticipating needs and promoting healthcare services like patient consultation, medication management, and wellness services.
  • Counseling patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and referring to medical providers as needed.
  • Performing pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
  • Ensuring pharmacy operations comply with regulations and company standards; assisting pharmacy manager with workflow optimization, role assignments, and shift duties.
  • Applying Good Faith Dispensing policy in compliance with controlled substance laws when filling prescriptions.
  • Maintaining knowledge of pharmacy IT systems and proposing enhancements to improve productivity.
  • Processing insurance claims accurately, resolving issues, and participating in third-party audits.
  • Following up with medical providers to clarify prescriptions and suggest alternatives.
  • Performing retail, clinical, and wellness services such as immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness.
  • Supporting pharmacy manager in analyzing performance data, financials, customer service, asset protection, and inventory management.
  • Building relationships with local healthcare providers and participating in community outreach to promote pharmacy growth.
  • Partnering with Central Pharmacy Operations for customer registration, third-party reviews, and virtual product reviews following company procedures.
  • Assisting pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, coaching, and fostering employee development and teamwork.
About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:

  • Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to starting the position.
  • Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
  • Certified Immunizer or willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: $33.50/hr to $45.30/hr, depending on geography, skills, education, and experience.
