Job summary

HTU is seeking a licensed pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmacy services in Indiana. The role includes medication counseling, immunizations, drug interaction reviews, and ensuring accurate dispensing in accordance with regulations.

You will support workflow, supervise staff, and collaborate with local healthcare providers to enhance patient care while maintaining privacy and compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to obtain Pharm D degree from an accredited institution.
  • Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 90 days of hire.
  • Certified Immunizer or willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Providing pharmacy consulting on medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare such as immunizations.
  • Ensuring proper compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications within regulatory guidelines and company policies.
  • Engaging customers by greeting and assisting with products and services, resolving issues promptly, and promoting a positive customer experience.
  • Modeling and sharing customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive experience, including proactive help and identifying customer needs.
  • Developing strong relationships with customers by anticipating needs and offering healthcare services like patient consultation, medication management, and wellness services.
  • Counseling patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and privacy, referring to medical providers as needed.
  • Performing pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
  • Assisting pharmacy manager with workflow optimization, assigning roles, coordinating activities, and managing opening, closing, and shift changes.
  • Ensuring compliance with Good Faith Dispensing policy and controlled substance laws.
  • Maintaining knowledge of pharmacy IT systems and proposing enhancements to improve productivity.
  • Processing insurance claims accurately, resolving issues, and participating in third-party audits.
  • Following up with medical providers to clarify prescriptions and suggest alternatives.
  • Performing retail, clinical, and wellness services such as immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness.
  • Supporting pharmacy manager in analyzing performance data, financials, customer service, asset protection, and inventory management.
  • Building relationships with local medical community and participating in community outreach to promote pharmacy growth.
  • Partnering with Central Pharmacy Operations for customer registration, third-party reviews, and virtual product reviews.
  • Assisting in staff hiring, training, coaching, and fostering employee development and teamwork.

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

  • Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to starting the position.
  • Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
  • Certified Immunizer or willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: $33.50/hr to $45.30/hr, depending on geography, skills, education, and experience.
