Job summary

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain Pharm D degree prior to start date.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure in district within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions and alternatives to ensure safe and effective therapy.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures pharmacy operations comply with regulations and company policies; assists with procedures to improve workflow and inventory management.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy IT systems and proposes enhancements to improve productivity.
• Processes insurance claims accurately and follows up with payers when needed.
• Engages with medical providers to clarify prescriptions, dosages and allergies to optimize therapy.
• Provides immunizations, flu shots, diabetes awareness and other preventive healthcare services.
