Job summary

HCA HealthONE Rose in Denver, CO is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to assist in pharmaceutical preparation and inpatient services under a pharmacist supervisor. You will participate in compounding, dispensing, IV admixtures, and narcotics handling in a hospital setting, while gaining exposure to drug consultation for patients, physicians, nurses, and hospital staff.

Current enrollment in an accredited School of Pharmacy with good GPA is required; prior pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Intern license required by Colorado State Board of Pharmacy
• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy; GPA maintenance required
• Prior pharmacy experience preferred
• Ability to work under supervision with guidance from a licensed Pharmacist

Responsibilities

• Perform technical functions related to pharmaceutical preparation and distribution
• Provide inpatient pharmaceutical services including compounding, dispensing, IV admixtures and narcotics handling
• Assist in drug consultation to patients, physicians, nurses and hospital staff
• Work under the direction of a licensed Preceptor and Rose Medical Center Pharmacy Intern program requirements
