Qualifications

• Current certification as a registered intern by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
• Current enrollment in an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.
• Ability to communicate verbally with patients and healthcare workers.

Responsibilities

• Consistently applies infection control policies and practices.
• Understands and practices standard precautions for patient care activities.
• Ensures sterility of supplies and equipment.
• Attends mandatory inservices and staff meetings.
• Participates in unit performance improvement monitoring.
• Assists in dispensing medications per legal order and documents accordingly.
• Supports the pharmacist in daily distribution and inventory management.
• Demonstrates continued development of intern knowledge and health care trends.
