Job summary

HCA HealthONE Swedish is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to support pharmaceutical preparation and delivery under a pharmacist’s supervision. You will handle non-sterile compounding, unit-dose preparation, and distribution to patient care areas within a high-volume hospital setting.

Qualifications include a Colorado-issued Pharmacy Technician certificate (CPhT) or provisional certificate, with CPhT within 12 months if provisional; high school diploma; and preferred two years of pharmacy tech

Qualifications

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) certificate or Provisional Pharmacy Technician Certificate.
If hired with Provisional Certificate, must achieve CPhT within 12 months of hire date.
High school diploma.
Two years’ experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred.

Responsibilities

Under direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, performs functions related to pharmaceutical preparation and distribution.
Non-sterile compounding and stocking automated dispensing cabinets.
Prepare unit dose drugs and deliver medications to patient care areas.
Check medication storage areas for outdated items; assist with billing duties.
May work in IV room, controlled substances distribution, automation, informatics, and medication reconciliation.
