Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Intern at St. Joseph's Hospital North in Lutz, FL. The position is PRN and hourly, with varying shifts, including weekend work.

Responsibilities include supporting dispensing, drug distribution, administrative tasks, and clinical skill development under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Qualified candidates are non-licensed pharmacy students enrolled in an ACPE-approved College of Pharmacy and registered as Pharmacy Intern with the Florida

Qualifications

• Non-licensed pharmacy student currently enrolled in an ACPE approved College of Pharmacy
• Pharmacy Intern registry with the Florida Board of Pharmacy

• Under the immediate oversight of the licensed Clinical Pharmacist, support the mission of the hospital and pharmacy department and will expand their knowledge and practice skills by participating in dispensing and drug distribution, pharmacy administrative activities, dissemination of drug and product information, and development of clinical skills.

Pharmacy Intern Responsibilities

• Under the immediate oversight of the licensed Clinical Pharmacist, support the mission of the hospital and pharmacy department and will expand their knowledge and practice skills by participating in dispensing and drug distribution, pharmacy administrative activities, dissemination of drug and product information, and development of clinical skills. Exposure to a hospital pharmacy setting enhances the Intern's awareness of the role and responsibilities of the pharmacist.

Requirements

• Non-licensed pharmacy student currently enrolled in an ACPE approved College of Pharmacy
• Pharmacy Intern registry with the Florida Board of Pharmacy
