Job summary

BayCare’s Winter Haven Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Intern who is passionate about delivering outstanding service to our community. This PRN, hourly role supports dispensing and drug distribution, and expands clinical skills under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Qualified students must be enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy and hold the Florida Pharmacy Intern registry. Shifts vary with occasional weekend work and no on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Non-licensed pharmacy student currently enrolled in an ACPE approved College of Pharmacy.
• Pharmacy Intern registry with the Florida Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Under the immediate oversight of the licensed Clinical Pharmacist, support dispensing and drug distribution, pharmacy administrative activities, dissemination of drug and product information, and development of clinical skills.

Pharmacy Intern Responsibilities :

• Under the immediate oversight of the licensed Clinical Pharmacist, support the mission of the hospital and pharmacy department and will expand their knowledge and practice skills by participating in dispensing and drug distribution, pharmacy administrative activities, dissemination of drug and product information, and development of clinical skills. Exposure to a hospital pharmacy setting enhances the Intern's awareness of the role and responsibilities of the pharmacist.

Requirements

• Non-licensed pharmacy student currently enrolled in an ACPE approved College of Pharmacy
• Pharmacy Intern registry with the Florida Board of Pharmacy
