Job summary

BayCare Health System in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support hospital and pharmacy operations on a PRN, hourly basis.

The technician will assist with preparation, labeling, and delivery of medications under pharmacist supervision, ensuring accuracy and timely service to patients and staff. Required FL registration and a high school diploma; preferred 1 year of institutional experience and CPhT certification.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.
• Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician License.
• Preferred: 1 year institutional Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Preferred: Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
• Pharmaceutical Calculations exam may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support the mission of the hospital and pharmacy department.
• Efficient, accurate and timely preparation, compounding, labeling, and delivery of pharmaceuticals to assure customer satisfaction.
• Under oversight of the Pharmacist, perform required tasks to ensure safe medication distribution.

Position Details:

• Facility: St. Anthony's Hospital
• Location: St. Petersburg, FL
• Status: PRN - As needed, hourly
• Shift Hours: Varies
• Weekend Work: Every Other
• On Call: No

Pharmacy Technician, under the immediate oversight of the Pharmacist, responsibilities include:

• Support the mission of the hospital and pharmacy department
• Efficient, accurate and timely preparation, compounding, labeling, and delivering of pharmaceuticals to assure customer satisfaction
• Required Registration: Florida Department of Health Pharmacy Technician Registry or enrolled into a BayCare hospital with a Florida Board of Pharmacy Licensed Training Program for the Employer Based Registered Pharmacy Technician Training Program
• Preferred experience is 1-year Institutional practice or equivalent as determined by the hiring manager.
• Required specific skills may also include successfully passing Pharmaceutical Calculations exam.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or Equivalent GED
• Required FL Registered Pharmacy Technician License

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
