Job summary

BayCare in Clearwater, FL is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support dispensing and drug distribution under the supervision of a licensed Clinical Pharmacist. This PRN, hourly role offers exposure to hospital pharmacy operations and opportunities to develop clinical skills and patient-service focus.

Requirements include being a non-licensed pharmacy student enrolled in an ACPE-approved College of Pharmacy and maintaining a Florida Board of Pharmacy intern registration.

Qualifications

• Non-licensed pharmacy student currently enrolled in an ACPE approved College of Pharmacy.
• Pharmacy Intern registry with the Florida Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Under the oversight of a licensed Clinical Pharmacist, assist in dispensing and drug distribution, pharmacy administrative activities, dissemination of drug information, and development of clinical skills.

Pharmacy Intern Responsibilities :

• Under the immediate oversight of the licensed Clinical Pharmacist, support the mission of the hospital and pharmacy department and will expand their knowledge and practice skills by participating in dispensing and drug distribution, pharmacy administrative activities, dissemination of drug and product information, and development of clinical skills. Exposure to a hospital pharmacy setting enhances the Intern's awareness of the role and responsibilities of the pharmacist.
