Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must obtain and maintain registration with the applicable State Board of Pharmacy in good standing.
• PTCB or Except certification.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Basic level PC skills (start up/shutdown, etc.).
• Intermediate keyboarding (25 WPM).

Responsibilities

• Process new patient registration by entering data into the system per Walgreens guidelines.
• Handle prescription requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing.
• Troubleshoot missing information and interpret SIG codes; resolve data entry exceptions.
• Count, label, pack and ship prescriptions; maintain equipment and workspace.
• Assist Pharmacists and communicate issues to senior staff; resolve third-party rejects.
