Lewis Drug Stores in South Dakota seeks a Pharmacy Clerk to be the first point of contact for patients, providing prompt, professional and friendly service. You will assist in patient care, handle transactions, answer phones, and ensure accurate processing of prescriptions while safeguarding confidential health information.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle transactions accurately.
• Basic math and computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Learn policies and procedures and follow them daily.
• Assist in patient wait times, sales, returns and complaints.
• Answer calls promptly and courteously.
• Collect patient information to fill prescriptions accurately.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Prepare paperwork and meds for delivery and mail orders.
• Assist drive-thru patients as applicable.
• Log into software systems and operate the cash register.
• Stock supplies and keep work areas clean.
• Promote company initiatives and represent Lewis to patients.
