Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Ocala is seeking a Pharmacy Director to lead and grow our pharmacy services close to home. The role focuses on safe, efficient provision of pharmacy services, staff leadership, and strategic initiatives in a supportive, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from a U.S.-accredited program or from an international program evaluated as substantially equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the pharmacy department's operations, including scheduling, continuous assessment, and the implementation of process improvements to optimize department performance.
• Provide direct patient and pharmaceutical care.
• Educate staff on pharmaceutical care and medication management, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Stay current with new medications and evidence-based practice; collaborate on department budgeting for staffing, drugs, and supplies.
• Actively serve and lead hospital committees (Quality Assurance, Formulary, Pharmacy and Therapeutics, MEC, Safety).
• Celebrate the achievements and victories of our dedicated employees along the way.
