Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required where applicable.
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration required; National Certification preferred (PTCB).
• 2+ years of related experience; advanced degree may substitute.
• Advanced computer skills; pharmacy systems experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced team environment.
• Quality-minded with a tendency to identify and inquire about errors.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into the operating system accurately and timely.
• Triage incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely dispensing.
• Ensure proper notes in computer and cycle fill coding.
• Calculate and verify correct dosage based on prescriptions.
• Respond to customer calls with care, routing to appropriate staff.
• Complete assigned prescriptions within regular shift deadlines.
• Develop proficiency in pharmacy systems and document imaging.
