Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to enter and process prescriptions with speed and accuracy, while communicating with customers by phone. The role supports seniors and individuals with complex care needs, delivering care with integrity and attention to detail.

You will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, handling multiple tasks, and supporting scheduling and cycle processes.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into the pharmacy operating system accurately and promptly.
• Triage incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely dispensing and proper notes.
• Calculate and verify correct dosage based on prescriptions.
• Respond to customer calls with care and courtesy and route where appropriate.
• Complete assigned prescriptions within regular shifts and follow up with doctors’ offices as needed.
• Develop proficiency in utilization of all pharmacy systems and document imaging.
