Job summary

Right Dose Pharmacy, part of the Guardian family, invites you to join our Cedar Rapids team as a Pharmacy Technician. You will enter and process prescriptions with speed and accuracy, communicate with customers by phone, and respond promptly to needs.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of related experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required per state regulations.
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration required; National Certification preferred (PTCB).
• Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented and accurate in a fast-paced, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refilled prescriptions into the pharmacy operating system accurately and timely.
• Triage incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely dispensing.
• Maintain proper notes in the computer system and cycle fill coding.
• Calculate and verify correct dosage based on prescriptions.
• Respond to customer calls with care and courtesy, routing as needed for service.
