Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion products.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including collecting cash, giving change, processing refunds, returns, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products in the store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records transactions. Checks in and prices merchandise as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by assisting with entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for interactions. Helps schedule and manage workflow under supervision.
- Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement programs.
- Follows all policies related to Good Faith Dispensing and complies with the Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including communications with physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection techniques and files claims for discrepancies or damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains store displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and performs resets as needed.
- Assists with food product placement and stock rotation, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Possesses working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides customer service in the photo area, including passport photos and promotional products.
- Handles web order pickups and delivers orders to customers.
- Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, and fosters respectful coworker relationships.
- Completes assigned tasks and special projects as directed.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification through ongoing training and education.
- Participates in training sessions, acquires continuing education credits, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
