Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and trade-up or additional products to customers.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including processing payments, returns, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records transactions as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, assisting with prescription filling, verifying medication accuracy, and supporting workflow management.
- Reports prescription errors immediately and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Handles non-urgent phone inquiries, processes third-party claims, and performs clerical tasks as assigned.
- Supports pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection procedures and files claims for discrepancies.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains product displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and performs resets as needed.
- Assists with food and product placement, stock rotation, and restocking procedures.
- Operates store systems and equipment knowledgeably.
- Provides photo area services, including digital passport photos and promotional products.
- Supports web order pick-up and delivery services.
- Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, and fosters respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Completes special assignments and additional tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and/or state certification/registration through designated training programs.
- Attends training sessions, completes required coursework, and keeps up-to-date with healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
