Job description

Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

1. Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
2. Assists the pharmacist, under supervision, in practicing pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations. Uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.

Customer Experience

1. Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
2. Shares customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits, to deliver a delightful customer experience.

Operations

1. Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
2. Recommends items and trade-up or companion products.
3. Processes transactions, handles returns, refunds, and exchanges, and assists customers in locating products.
4. Maintains cleanliness and merchandising of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and assists with store tasks as directed.
5. Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and assisting with workflow.
6. Reports prescription errors immediately and adheres to company policies and pharmacy codes of conduct.
7. Handles calls not requiring pharmacist intervention, processes third-party claims, and performs clerical duties.
8. Supports inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and files claims for warehouse discrepancies.
9. Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products.
10. Constructs and maintains displays, assists with product placement and stock rotation.
11. Has knowledge of store systems and equipment.
12. Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photos and promotional products.
13. Manages web pick-up orders and maintains store appearance and cleanliness.
14. Follows all company policies, maintains respectful relationships, and completes assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

1. Maintains PTCB certification and completes required training and continuing education.
2. Stays informed about healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include:

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
