- Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
- Assists the pharmacist, under supervision, in practicing pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations. Uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Shares customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits, to deliver a delightful customer experience.
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
- Recommends items and trade-up or companion products.
- Processes transactions, handles returns, refunds, and exchanges, and assists customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and merchandising of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and assists with store tasks as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and assisting with workflow.
- Reports prescription errors immediately and adheres to company policies and pharmacy codes of conduct.
- Handles calls not requiring pharmacist intervention, processes third-party claims, and performs clerical duties.
- Supports inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and files claims for warehouse discrepancies.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products.
- Constructs and maintains displays, assists with product placement and stock rotation.
- Has knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photos and promotional products.
- Manages web pick-up orders and maintains store appearance and cleanliness.
- Follows all company policies, maintains respectful relationships, and completes assigned tasks.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and completes required training and continuing education.
- Stays informed about healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional requirements include:
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
