Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or complementary products.
- Handles register transactions, including sales, cash collection, refunds, exchanges, and assisting customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and assists with merchandise pricing and stocking as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and assisting pharmacists with workflow and scheduling.
- Reports prescription errors immediately and adheres to company policies on pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Handles non-urgent phone inquiries and processes third-party claims efficiently.
- Supports inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and maintains compliance with asset protection policies.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains displays and assists with product resets and revisions.
- Supports food safety and stock rotation procedures.
- Uses store systems and equipment proficiently.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos and promotional products, and manages web order pickups.
- Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, and fosters respectful coworker relationships.
- Completes special tasks and assignments as directed.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and completes required training and continuing education.
- Stays informed on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional requirements: Must be fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
