Job description

Customer Experience
  • Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
  • Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
  • Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or related products.
  • Handles cash register transactions, including collecting cash, giving change, processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products in the store.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, takes inventory, and records stock levels. Checks in and prices merchandise as directed by store management.
  • Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information accurately, assisting in prescription filling, verifying medication correctness, and checking for interactions. Aids pharmacists in scheduling and workflow management.
  • Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and follows company policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement initiatives. Complies with the Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policies.
  • Handles non-urgent phone calls, including communications with physicians.
  • Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
  • Supports inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection techniques and files claims for discrepancies or damages.
  • Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
  • Constructs and maintains store displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and completes resets as needed.
  • Assists with stock placement, rotation, and management of food and other products according to store policies.
  • Operates store systems and equipment proficiently.
  • Provides photo services, including passport photos, poster prints, and promotional products.
  • Manages web order pick-up and delivery responsibilities.
  • Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, and fosters respectful relationships with coworkers.
  • Completes additional tasks and special assignments as directed.
Training & Personal Development
  • Maintains PTCB certification and/or state registration through ongoing training and continuing education.
  • Attends training sessions, completes required coursework, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy industry developments.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
