Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
- Recommends items for sale to customers and suggests trade-up and/or companion items.
- Processes transactions at the cash register, including collecting cash, giving change, and handling voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products in the store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records transactions. Checks in and prices merchandise as directed.
- Assists in pharmacy duties under supervision, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medications, and checking for interactions. Supports pharmacists in workflow management.
- Reports prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement.
- Follows all policies related to Good Faith Dispensing during prescription activities.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including those to physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports pharmacy inventory activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection and files claims for overages, shortages, or damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Creates and maintains store displays, including promotional and seasonal setups.
- Assists with product placement, stock rotation, and restocking.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides customer service in the photo area, including passport photos and promotional products.
- Handles web order pickups and delivery.
- Supports store cleanliness and appearance.
- Follows all policies, maintains respectful relationships, and completes assigned tasks.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and/or state certification/registration.
- Attends training, completes required courses, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
