Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
- Recommends items for sale to customers and suggests trade-up or companion items.
- Registers customer purchases, processes payments, and handles returns, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records transactions. Checks in and prices merchandise as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medications, and assisting with workflow scheduling, under supervision.
- Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including communication with physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and maintains documentation for inventory discrepancies.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains store displays and assists with product resets and revisions.
- Supports food safety and stock rotation policies.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos, poster prints, and promotional products.
- Manages web order pickups and ensures timely delivery to customers.
- Assists with store cleanliness and appearance.
- Follows all policies and maintains respectful coworker relationships.
- Completes assigned tasks and special projects.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and completes required training and continuing education.
- Stays informed about healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional requirements include fluency in English and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
