Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
- Recommends items for sale to customers and suggests trade-up and/or complementary items.
- Registers customer purchases, processes payments, and handles returns, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products within the store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and assists with merchandise pricing and stocking as directed by management.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information accurately, assisting in prescription filling, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for interactions. Supports pharmacists in scheduling and workflow management.
- Reports prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Handles non-urgent telephone inquiries, including communication with physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
- Supports pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and handling warehouse overages or shortages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains store displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and completes resets as directed.
- Assists in stock management, including food product placement and rotation, following company policies.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment to provide effective customer service.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos, poster printing, and promotional products.
- Manages web order pick-up tasks, including monitoring, fulfilling, and delivering orders.
- Supports store cleanliness and appearance, ensuring a neat and organized environment.
- Follows all company policies, maintains respectful coworker relationships, and completes assigned tasks.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and/or state registration as required, through ongoing training and education.
- Participates in training sessions, completes continuing education, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is required.
