Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or complementary products.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including processing sales, returns, refunds, and exchanges, and assists customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, takes inventory, and ensures proper pricing and merchandising.
- Assists pharmacists by using pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and verifying medication accuracy.
- Reports prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist and follows company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, processes third-party claims, and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and maintains compliance with asset protection policies.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains store displays, assists with product placement, and stock rotation.
- Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photos and promotional products.
- Manages web order pickups and assists with store maintenance to ensure a clean and organized environment.
- Follows all company policies and maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and participates in ongoing training and education to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy practices.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
