Job summary

Walgreens in Sunset Beach, NC seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists, handle prescriptions, and provide courteous checkout assistance while ensuring regulatory compliance. You will engage customers, guide them to products, process prescriptions, manage claims, and support inventory and store operations.

Fluency in English, willingness to work evenings/weekends, and basic math/computer skills required. PTCB certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience and good math/computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service at checkout.
• Registers purchases, processes returns and exchanges, and assists customers.
• Assists pharmacist under supervision with entering patient and drug information.
• Fills prescriptions, checks for accuracy, and helps with pharmacy workflows.
• Handles prescription claims and clerical duties for the Pharmacy Manager.
• Maintains clean counters and shelves, assists with inventory management.
• Ensures compliance with laws and Walgreens policies and supports customer care.
• Provides customer service in the photo area and supports web pickup responsibilities.
