Job summary

Walgreens in Houston is seeking a Pharmacy Clerk to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, assist the pharmacist under direct supervision, and use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.

You will greet customers, operate the cash register, stock shelves, manage inventory, and support pharmacy operations including labeling, dispensing checks, and customer service across store departments.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of retail experience preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Strong math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications.
• Good computer skills preferred.
• Knowledge of store inventory control preferred.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolves issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Models and shares customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive Walgreens experience for all customers and patients.
• Registers customer purchases on the cash register, handles cash, and processes returns, exchanges, and rain checks as needed.
• Assists the pharmacist under supervision by entering patient and drug information and supporting dispensing workflow.
• Maintains counters and shelves, merchandising, inventory, and pricing as directed by store leadership.
