Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a pharmacy technician to deliver courteous checkout and assist pharmacists under supervision in dispensing medications. The role involves processing prescriptions, entering patient data, and supporting inventory and store merchandising.

The position requires English fluency, flexibility to work evenings and weekends, and ongoing PTCB certification. Prior related retail/pharmacy experience is preferred, with a focus on accuracy and customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Earns and maintains PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state required certification/registration.
• Attends training and completes PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate and acquires continuing education credits.

Responsibilities

• Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides courteous checkout service.
• Assists pharmacist under supervision in dispensing medications and entering patient and drug information.
• Processes prescriptions, fills medications, and checks for possible interactions.
• Maintains inventory, updates prices, and assists with store merchandising and upkeep.
• Provides customer service in person and over the phone, handling requests and resolving issues.
