Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a customer-focused associate to deliver courteous checkout service and assist pharmacists under supervision. You will help customers, handle sales at the register, and contribute to a clean, well-organized store environment.

The role includes assisting with prescriptions under the pharmacist’s guidance, maintaining inventory, and promoting related items to customers. Prior retail experience is preferred, and a flexible schedule is required.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy and uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Recommends items for sale and conducts upselling and suggesting companion products.
• Maintains store cleanliness and merchandising, conducts inventory, and prices merchandise.
• Handles prescription-related tasks and supports pharmacy workflow as directed by Pharmacy Manager and Store Manager.
