Job summary

Centurion Health in Waycross, GA is seeking a Full-Time Pharmacy Coordinator Technician for Ware State Prison. The technician assists the pharmacist, processes prescriptions, maintains stock, and coordinates with healthcare staff to meet departmental goals.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, current Pharmacy Technician certification, and a strong preference for at least 1 year of experience. A security clearance, drug screen and background check may be required.

Qualifications

• Current certification and licensure as a Pharmacy Technician required.
• Minimum one year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Typing prescription data into the pharmacy computerized filing system.
• Ensuring proper maintenance and operation of a well-stocked pharmacy.
• Ensuring prescription orders are faxed to the contracted pharmacy for processing.
• Maintaining pharmacy files on prescriptions, requisitions, medication logs, drug and patient information, purchase orders, and other records as required by the Pharmacist.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Pharmacy Coordinator Technician to join our team at Ware State Prison, located in Waycross, GA.

Pay Scale: $19-$23 Per Hour

The Pharmacy Technician works under the direct supervision of a Licensed Pharmacist to aid and assist the Pharmacist in assigned duties, including interacting with healthcare professionals and corrections and administrative staff to achieve the goals of the Pharmacy Department.

Qualifications: Essential Duties

• Typing prescription data into the pharmacy computerized filing system
• Ensuring proper maintenance and operation of a well-stocked pharmacy
• Ensuring prescription orders are faxed to the contracted pharmacy for processing
• Maintaining pharmacy files on prescriptions, requisitions, medication logs, drug and patient information, purchase orders, and other records as required by the Pharmacist
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Current certification and licensure as a Pharmacy Technician required
• Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
