Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn is seeking an Assistant Director of Pharmacy to oversee clinical services, coordinate drug information, and lead the clinical pharmacist team. This role drives policy development and implements projects approved by medical staff committees.

The successful candidate will manage scheduling, evaluate new therapies, stay current with regulations, and mentor residents and students within a leading teaching hospital.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.
• New York State Pharmacist Licensure.
• Completion of PGY1 Pharmacy Residency; PGY2 or equivalent.
• Board certification in Pharmacotherapy or related specialty within 18 months of hire.
• Minimum 5 years in a progressive pharmaceutical management position.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical activities of staff and clinical pharmacists.
• Hire, supervise, and provide annual performance reviews for pharmacy staff.
• Evaluate new medications and regimens; assess literature for evolving care standards.
• Serve as drug information resource to pharmacists, medical and nursing staff.
• Participate in Medical staff and Pharmacy staff meetings; train residents and students.
