Hy-Vee Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Clerk to support day-to-day pharmacy operations with care and professionalism. You will assist customers, stock supplies, handle cash, and help keep the pharmacy running smoothly while maintaining patient privacy and safety.

The role emphasizes friendly service, accuracy in processing prescriptions and invoices, and collaboration with pharmacy staff to ensure a welcoming, efficient experience for all customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; related experience preferred (6 months to 1 year).
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines, as required by law.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers with a smile.
• Answer the telephone promptly and assist with refill orders.
• Gather patient information required to prepare prescriptions.
• Stock received product and supplies and keep shelves well stocked.
• Review prescriptions not picked up as requested by the department manager.
• Order product and supplies and review invoices on receipt.
• Log invoices and complete cash transactions accurately.
• Prepare paperwork and assemble medicines for delivery or mail-outs.
• Coordinate nursing home medicines as necessary.
• Administer vaccines as allowed by law, with required certification where applicable.
• Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy area and proper hygiene.
• Maintain confidentiality of customers' private medical information.
• Work with coworkers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist in other store areas and take on special projects as assigned.
• Report to work on schedule and on time.
