Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Pharmacy Clerk to support daily pharmacy operations, assist customers, handle stock, process transactions, and help prepare prescriptions. You will maintain confidentiality and follow higher standards of accuracy while delivering courteous service in a fast-paced store setting.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and discretion with patient information as you work closely with pharmacists and store staff to ensure excellent customer care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• 6 months up to 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines, as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and provide friendly service.
• Assist customers and take refill orders by phone.
• Gather patient information to prepare prescriptions.
• Stock and maintain pharmacy supplies.
• Process cash transactions accurately.
• Prepare paperwork for delivery orders.
• Coordinate nursing home medicines as needed.
• Administer vaccines as allowed by law (where certified).
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
