Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Accurately read, interpret, and enter prescriptions into the computer system, including calculation of doses and assignment of directions.
• Accept proper insurance payment in a timely fashion.
• Route incomplete or unclear prescriptions to the prescriber for clarification and enter incomplete information once clarified.
• Assist with inbound phone calls, interacting with customers and cross‑functional team to answer questions, solve problems, provide education, and maintain the company's reputation for high‑quality service.
• Handle new patient enrollment, verify insurance coverage, perform benefit investigations, and process medication orders for new and existing patients.
• Maintain working knowledge of insurance, health‑care, and reimbursement requirements for dispensing and new referrals, and provide customer education.

CVS Health/Specialty has an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Care Technician in California. In order to qualify, you must live within 75 miles of the CVS Specialty site located at 1127 Bryn Mawr Ave, Redlands, CA 92374.

Responsibilities

• Accurately read, interpret, and enter prescriptions into the computer system, including calculation of doses and assignment of directions.
• Accept proper insurance payment in a timely fashion.
• Route incomplete or unclear prescriptions to the prescriber for clarification and enter incomplete information once clarified.

Schedule

Onsite 11:00 am–7:30 pm PST, Monday through Friday.

Job Details

Full‑time, 40 hours per week with possible overtime during business peaks. The role pays based on experience; starting pay is $22.00 per hour.

Job classification is represented by a collective bargaining organization.

Required Qualifications

• Must live within 75 miles of Redlands, CA.
• Six months experience in a pharmacy technician role.
• Six months experience with Windows‑based applications, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email.
• Six months of computer keyboarding skills and aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three months experience handling and resolving customer needs over the phone.
• Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, and prescriptions.
• Experience in medical billing, coding, or other medical assisting roles.
• Customer service experience in an office environment.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
