Job summary

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree and licensure required; willingness to obtain licensure if not already held.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medication usage, potential side effects, interactions, and risks.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management as workload allows.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and adherence to company policies; supports opening/closing of pharmacy and shift changes.
• Maintains proficiency with pharmacy IT systems and proposes enhancements to improve productivity.
• Ensures accurate processing of insurance claims and follows up with insurers and providers.
• Provides immunizations and preventive healthcare services (e.g., flu shots, diabetes awareness).
• Develops relationships with local medical community and participates in outreach to grow pharmacy business.
