Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Shared Services Pharm Tech Lead to direct a data entry and call center team for pharmacy billing and inbound/outbound calls in our specialty pharmacy operation.

You will oversee profiles, benefits screening, copay assistance enrollment, and fulfillment coordination while reporting on center performance and quality initiatives. A Mass Registered Pharmacy Tech license is required, with 3–5 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Mass Registered Pharmacy Tech license required.
• 3–5 years related work experience required.
• PTCB certification preferred.
• Mail Order Pharmacy and/or Pharmacy accreditation experience.
• Experience with call center metrics and reporting; supervisory or management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations and assists a team that answers, screens and processes a high volume of calls in a professional manner using scripts and guidelines.
• Oversees daily operations and assists a team that maintains patient profiles, enters prescriptions, contacts insurance for benefits, assists with enrollment in copay programs, and coordinates approvals for fulfillment.
• Generates, collects, analyzes and reports all pharmacy call center data to ensure efficient operation and optimal resource use; resolves problems to patient satisfaction.
• Assists management with HR functions including hiring, onboarding, training, and continuous improvement of staff.
• Prepares detailed staff schedules; organizes work, prioritizes workflows; monitors staff for quality and provides coaching.
• Participates in quality projects and ambulatory initiatives; may involve up to 10% of duties.
• Performs daily functions of all BILH Pharmacy service lines as needed.
