Job summary

HealthPartners is seeking a remote Pharmacy Benefits Specialist to assist customers with costs, benefits, formulary status and coverage criteria. You will coordinate with the pharmacy network and care teams to resolve complex benefit questions and referrals.

Ideal candidates have a health care degree and pharmacy technician certification, with strong communication and problem-solving skills to support medication optimization initiatives across the care continuum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health care related field or equivalent associate degree with 3 years' experience in a health care setting.
• Must be nationally certified pharmacy technician.

Responsibilities

• Navigate customers through HealthPartners pharmacy costs, benefits and coverage criteria.
• Guide customers through pharmacy networks, internal/external resources, policies and procedures.
• Act proactively on customers' behalf with complex benefits, referrals and prior authorization processes.
• Support Medication Optimization by engaging with members identified with non-optimal medication use.
