Job summary

Texas Children's is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist in overseeing daily operations of the ADM, maintaining medication par levels, and auditing inventory. The role includes supporting Omnicell configurations and coordinating with Pharmacy Computer Support and BioMed to resolve technical issues.

You will participate in controlled substance audits, generate override and inspection reports, and assist in education and training of staff and students as needed.

Qualifications

• Requirement: RPHT-TX or PHAR INT or CPHT certifications.
• Minimum 2 years pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Knowledge of current hospital and departmental standards for handling pharmaceuticals.
• Good math, reading and communication skills for accurate compounding and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversees par levels of medications in ADMs and ensures inventory accuracy.
• Coordinates Omnicell issues with Pharmacy Computer Support and BioMed.
• Assists inventory staff during annual non-controlled substance inventory.
• Creates Omnicell configurations for non-controlled substances and coordinates additions.
