Texas Children's Hospital in Houston seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist in administering Omnicell operations, maintain par levels for non‑controlled medications, and support inventory accuracy across the pharmacy. You will work with Pharmacy IT and BioMed to resolve issues and generate essential reports.

You will perform routine controlled substance audits, participate in annual inventories, educate students and new staff, and ensure compliance with department standards.

Formación

• RPHT-TX - Registered Pharmacy Technician from the State Board of Pharmacy required, OR
• PHAR INT - Pharmacy Intern
• CPHT certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board preferred
• 2 years pharmacy technician experience preferred

Responsabilidades

• Oversee Omnicell automated dispensing machines (ADM) operations and maintain par levels for medications as documented.
• Coordinate with Pharmacy IT and Biomed to resolve technical or mechanical issues involving Omnicells.
• Support inventory staff during annual inventory for non‑controlled substances.
• Create Omnicell configurations for non‑controlled substances and coordinate additions with the Inventory Specialist.
• Perform routine controlled substance audits (destock, discrepancies, vault audits) and nursing Omnicell audits as assigned.
• Provide Medication Override Report and Monthly Medication Area Inspection Report; generate special reports per admin requests.
• Assist in education of pharmacy students and new employees; ensure proper scope of technician duties and refer to manager as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with department standards; communicate issues to the manager promptly.

CPHT certification from PTCB preferred
