Job summary

MultiCare Health System's Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant. This entry-level role supports the pharmacy through maintaining supplies, billing and filing, enabling pharmacists to serve patients efficiently.

Requirements include a high school diploma and WA Pharmacy Assistant license; minimum one year of retail pharmacy experience preferred. You will count, pour and label prescriptions, run inventory, and help with transactions.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Assistant license from the Washington State Board of Pharmacy.
• Minimum one (1) year of previous work experience in a retail pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Count, pour and label prescriptions as designated by the pharmacist on duty.
• Run inventory and order supplies.
• Participate in departmental meetings, projects and other needs.
• Handle sales transactions for prescriptions and other merchandise.
