Job summary

MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support the pharmacy by maintaining supplies, billing and filing. This is an entry-level position with a 1.0 FTE, day shift, scheduled Mon-Fri, on-site in Tacoma, WA.

You will count, pour and label prescriptions, manage inventory, and assist in meetings and projects while handling sales transactions for prescriptions and merchandise. A high school diploma and WA Pharmacy Assistant license are required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Assistant license from the Washington State Board of Pharmacy.
• Minimum one year of previous work experience in a retail pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Count, pour and label prescriptions as designated by the pharmacist on duty.
• Run inventory and order supplies.
• Participate in departmental meetings, projects and other needs.
• Handle sales transactions for prescriptions and other merchandise.
